This hotel is fabulous! All of the staff go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Carmen, who runs the breakfast was outstanding in every way. She welcomed us like family and prepared the best breakfast we could have had. She loves her job and is the most helpful person I have ever met at a hotel. I loved the oat milk. This is rare to find at a hotel. Super weekend!

The rooms could use some fresh carpet but the service has been wonderful! I also really appreciate the goods snacks in the lobby, they should think about adding Monster and red bull to the cooler. Right in the parking lot is a gas station with a cute cafe and a bar with pretty good food and a decent selection of craft beers.

Our recent adventure at the Hampton Inn & Suites Providence/Smithfield was a rollercoaster of "delights." We had the pleasure of booking a King Suite and ending up in a charming first-floor Standard King room. How lucky! The room, adorned with a fragrance reminiscent of a smoking lounge, was a surprising twist for a designated non-smoking space. No worries, though – who needs fresh air? The staff's creative solution to the absence of the King Suite was, well, offering no solution at all. But fear not, for the manager graced us with their presence, generously blaming third-party bookings and signing us up for a forced membership to ensure our future "thrilling" experiences. Their talent for deflecting issues matched only by their repetition of excuses, leaving us in awe. Oh, but the pièce de résistance? Housekeeping’s impromptu entrance during our farewell performance, providing an unexpected front-row view while getting ready. Their lack of a knock was a brilliant touch, enhancing our stay with a splash of shock and discomfort. As for the complimentary breakfast, let’s just say the limited options and the broken waffle machine made for a delightful morning feast. In summary, our stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Providence/Smithfield was an adrenaline-pumping, jaw-dropping experience of unexpected twists and turns. It's a narrative we won't soon forget – though we wish we could. Bravo!

Hotel management needs a lesson in customer service. I prepaid for my room about a week in advance, but was later double charged for the room upon checkout. This is an honest mistake and one that you would think could be easily corrected. However, the hotel has been of absolutely no assistance. In fact, I'm not sure if the manager at this hotel even works or has any interest in assisting their customers. Let me explain. After noticing the double charge on my credit card statement on 11/13 (6 days after my stay), I reached out to the hotel to hopefully correct the issue. I was told that only a manager can do this and to call back in the morning when the manager would be around. Call #2 to the hotel occurred on 11/16, when I was once again told the manager was not around. Call #3 occurred on 11/17, and you guessed it, the manager was not around. This time, I asked if they could take down my name and number so the manager could call me at a time that was convenient for them. You would think that the manager would have a designee or even a corporate helpline for something like this if they would be absent for an extended period, but that was not the case here. In addition to leaving my information with the hotel, I also put in a ticket online with Hilton corporate guest relations. I was told (via an automated message) that I need to allow 3 days for follow-up. Well, here we are on 11/30 some 13 days later and there has been no follow up. The manager also never gave me a call. I decided to try to call the hotel again, which would qualify as Call #4 on 11/29 and was told the manager was not around. This time, they put me on hold to try and call the manager but could not reach them. They said that they texted their manager and would call me back once the manager responded. I never got a call back. They did mention that the manager would be in at 10 am the next day so, on 11/30, I attempted Call #5 to the hotel. I was told the manager was not in and would be coming in at 4 pm. The person at the front desk said they saw my note on the manager's desk, but "if the manager doesn't want to call you back, it's not my fault". Of course, 4 pm came and went with no call from the manager. All I am asking for is a courtesy call back to discuss my concern. We are approaching a month now with no answers from the hotel. This is completely unacceptable behavior that the Hampton at Hilton team should be ashamed of.

Rooms were great, location was okay, just wish the lady at the front desk was a little more professional. Was clearly having an argument with a coworker or manager about some room service issues the hotel was having while customers were waiting for service. She was understandably frustrated, but that should not happen in front of customers.

Definitely a good value for the price. Not fancy but has all that is needed. Room was clean and well equipped. Personnel kind and helpful. Breakfast OK. Recommended for a short stay while traveling.

Be prepared, unless they rip out the carpets I would not go back. They presently are stained and smell. If you want towels, I suggest bring your own or wash the ones in you room yourself because you won’t get clean ones after you arrive.
